Peer Review Process and Policy
Peer Review Process and Policy
All manuscripts submitted to PANGEEA undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of the published research.
In the double-blind review system, both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous throughout the review process.
Initial Evaluation
Upon submission, manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial team to ensure they meet the journal’s scope, formatting requirements, and basic quality standards.
Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, scientific quality, methodology, clarity, and relevance.
Review Outcomes
Based on reviewers’ reports, the editor may decide:
-
Accept the manuscript
-
Accept with minor revisions
-
Request major revisions
-
Reject the manuscript
Revision Process
Authors are required to address all reviewer comments and submit a revised version of the manuscript. Revised manuscripts may be sent for a second round of review if necessary.
Final Decision
The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on reviewers’ recommendations and the overall quality of the manuscript.
Confidentiality
All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share or use the information contained in the manuscripts for personal advantage.
Conflict of Interest
Reviewers and editors must declare any potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from the review process if necessary.
Ethical Standards
The journal adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure integrity in the peer review process.
PANGEEA is committed to maintaining a transparent, fair, and objective peer review system.
