About the Journal

PANGEEA is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal that has been continuously published since 2001. Over more than two decades of activity, the journal has published over 400 scientific research papers covering a broad spectrum of disciplines, reflecting its strong interdisciplinary profile.

Initially published in both English and Romanian, since 2017 the journal has adopted English as the sole language of publication in order to enhance its international visibility, accessibility, and academic impact.

PANGEEA provides a platform for the dissemination of high-quality research at the intersection of social sciences, medical sciences, and natural sciences. The journal addresses contemporary challenges related to society, health, and the environment, encouraging interdisciplinary approaches and innovative research methodologies.

All submissions are subject to a rigorous double-blind peer review process, ensuring academic quality, integrity, and relevance.
