Aims & Scope
PANGEEA is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that has been continuously published since 2001. Over more than two decades of activity, the journal has published over 400 scientific research papers covering a wide range of disciplines, reflecting its strong interdisciplinary orientation.
Initially published in both English and Romanian, since 2017 PANGEEA has adopted English as the sole language of publication, in order to enhance international visibility, accessibility, and academic impact.
The journal focuses on advancing high-quality interdisciplinary research across social sciences, medical sciences, and natural sciences. It aims to contribute to the understanding of complex societal, environmental, and health-related challenges through rigorous theoretical and empirical studies.
PANGEEA encourages submissions addressing issues of global relevance, including the interaction between human systems, health, and the natural environment, with implications for policy, practice, and sustainable development.
The journal publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, and case studies that demonstrate methodological rigor and contribute to international scholarship. All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process.
