Abstract

In this paper, I shall describe the process of locating the physical position of a photographed image captured on a Smartphone. A Smartphone is a mobile wireless communication devise with advance
computing capabilities. These capabilities include the ability to interact and interpret Global Positioning Satellite data (GPS). The user of the Smartphone can send the image via email embedded with the location of the Smartphone that will allow the receiver to plot the location of the Smartphone and the person who acquired the image on a map. This technology has practical implications. It is useful for locating individuals who for various reasons may have gone astray and have become lost or they are unable to move. This technology provides detailed information to the rescuers of the location of the individual who sent the image.
